In boxing, a "one-two punch" refers to a quick combination of two punches: a jab (lead hand) followed by a cross (back hand). This combination is a fundamental technique used to engage an opponent, maintain distance, and set up for more powerful punches.

Purpose:
The one-two punch is used to:
-
Engage the opponent: The jab sets the stage and the cross follows up with power.
-
Maintain distance: The quick jab and cross can help keep the opponent at bay.
-
Set up other punches: The one-two can be used to create openings for more powerful punches
