LIFE  BOAT

A lifeboat, also known as a liferaft, is a small, rigid or inflatable boat carried on ships for emergency evacuation. It's used to save lives in the event of a ship disaster, like sinking. Lifeboats are required by law on larger commercial ships, and lifeboat drills are mandatory.

1. Setup:

  • Each player receives pawns (officers and sailors) and a set number of "Captain's Hats" (cards that can be used to sway votes).

  • Lifeboats are placed on the game board track, and island cards are shuffled and placed face down.

2. Pawns Placement:

  • Players take turns placing their pawns on any lifeboat, regardless of the player's color.

  • Each lifeboat can only have one pawn removed from it in a given round.

3. Voting and Movement:

  • Players vote on which lifeboat should move forward one space on the game board.

  • Each player can vote for the lifeboat of their choice.

  • If a lifeboat reaches an island, all the pawns on that boat are removed and placed on the island, and they score points at the end of the game.

4. Risks and Sinking:

  • Lifeboats can have leaks, and if a lifeboat has more leaks than people on board at the end of any phase, it sinks.

  • If a lifeboat sinks, all the pawns on board are lost.

5. Endgame:

  • The game ends when all lifeboats have reached an island or have sunk.

  • Players add up the points for their pawns on the islands.

  • The player with the most points wins
